IAMART*kids

IAMART "kids" was created to provide children in grades K-18 a curated artisan experience within the IAMART Showcase. The multi-day programming will feature instructor-led arts & crafts activities, creative storytelling, canvas free-paint, face and finger painting, art-tech demonstrations by Microsoft and much more.

Our goal is to inspire the next generation of urban artists like that of Diego Rivera. Diego María de la Concepción Juan Nepomuceno Estanislao de la Rivera y Barrientos Acosta y Rodríguez, known as Diego Rivera was a prominent Mexican painter and the husband of Frida Kahlo.

As a core component in the creation of IAMART, we look to not only inspire art in today’s youth but also support those inspirations in tangible ways.  The Young Diego & Frida Awards will be given to the top young male & female artisans in CDMX.  We intend to invite artists from grades K-8 to submit two dimensional artwork such as print, painting, photography or drawings.

The Top 24 finalists will be judged by a panel of their art contemporaries where the winners will be recognized by their perspective schools, communities and awarded a scholarship to further their education by attending an area art program.
